About
Fort Wooster Park, located on the East Shore of New Haven, was the site of a signal beacon that alerted the inhabitants of New Haven to the arrival of British forces in 1779. Long forgotten and fallen into abandonment, the Park is undergoing a remarkable transformation.
The Friends
The Friends of Fort Wooster is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Elm City Parks Conservancy. Founded by neighbors and history lovers, we're working to bring Fort Wooster park back to it's former beauty after years of abuse and neglect.
Get Involved
It might still be the "best historical site in New Haven no one knows about," but we're trying to change that, one step at a time. Consider volunteering!
